Puffins
During my last road trip across Europe, I’ll probably write more about it in dedicated posts next month, I spent an evening in the Dyrholaey area in South Iceland. The weather was not that good, it rained most of the time, but I was able to enjoy some views and a walk during a dry hour before dinner.
The bad weather though was good to catch some puffins on the cliffs since they are less likely to go fishing during the day; these fun but at the same time elegant birds also seemed to be not afraid of cameras even at short distances, so no special equipment was needed to get some good shots, they were almost posing for the few people around.
I went to Dyrholaey with different shots in mind, that I was not able to take at the end, but I walked away with a big smile on my face thanks to this close encounter. I enjoyed it so much that, finally back home, the puffins shots are the first out of my camera ready to be shown.
Below a small selection of the best shots that I have already added to my wildlife gallery.
